DFTD - Demons From The Deep was founded by myself (Joel) and Nightfire 22, who is no longer a Clan Leader at DFTD and rarely visits RuneScape.

Demons From The Deep was formed in the middle of January 2006, but changed Forums on the 8th of February 2006, to the ones we have today. DFTD started off really small with only a few friends that were from school. This then expanded as our school friends had friends and they had friends, and so on, so the Clan gradually grew.

Intentions of myself and Nightfire were never to have a large Clan. Our intentions were to have a small group of good RuneScape Players that could have events together such as killing the King Black Dragon, and when developed enough, the Kalphite Queen. Nightfire 22 then had problems with his Internet which caused a very long absence, so Trenmor assisted me in leading the Clan until I decided that I wanted to step down as Clan Leader.

The role of Leader was then passed onto Ytimba and Lord Welshy, with the assistance of Trenmor as she didn't want to be a full Leader. Ever since then, Demons From The Deep has been a very successful clan.

In the summer of 2007, Ytimba announced that he was retiring as Clan Leader, and we held our first ever "general election", appointing Theroohster as new Leader, alongside Trenmor and Lord Welshy.

This was shortly followed by the appointment of Woogie Bear, Rooster78 and Mrs Rooster as Senior Managers, assisting the Leadership Team with the running of the clan.

Lord Welshy announced his retirement as Leader towards the end of 2007, but is still remained active within the clan.

In the spring of 2008 Brummyboy was promoted to the Senior Management team alongside Ytimba and Woogie Bear, while Mrs Rooster and Rooster78 retired from the team to concentrate on real life issues.

Shortly after, this was followed by the promotion of SirAndySpeed to the Senior Managerment team. Andy & Brummyboy worked alongside the Managment, providing extra support where needed.

The summer also saw Lord Welshy return to the role of Clan leader, and after 12 Months as a Clan Leader; in July 2008 Theroohster sadly decided to retire as a Clan Leader.

This lead to Andy being promoted to the Leadership team alongside Lord Welshy & Trenmor. Further changes in the Autumn that year saw Mrs Rooster and Rooster7 return to Senior Managment, alongside Squirrely, who joined the team as part of a new Tech Support Role.

Later changes saw TheRoohster join Ytimba in the Senior Management role of Retired Leaders. During November Al (Lord Welshy) announced his retirement from Clan Leader, this lead to the appointment of Brummyboy as the new Leader!

At the same time Mrs Rooster and Rooster7 also both retired from their Senior Management roles to concentrate on bringing up their children; although all 3 remain active within the Clan. Christmas 2008 saw Woogie take leave from his role, due to real life work commitments, shortly followed by Al; who took a break to concentrate on exams...

Summer '09 saw Andy resign from his Clan leader position.

Trenmor and Brummyboy were holding the fort down during the rest of the summer and into the fall. In October of 2009 they added me as a Senior Mentor Manager and Kristi (xLibraAngelx) as Senior Event Manager.

In February 2010, after 4 long years as leader Trenmor finally got her wish to join Ytimba, TheRoohster, Al and Andy as a DFTD Veteran. I was then promoted to Clan leader along side Grant (Brummyboy).

April of 2010 brought many staff changes. Grant had found himself ready to join Trenmor as a veteran after a year in his leader role. At that point Al (Lord Welshy) came back to his leader role letting Brummyboy relax. Along with Al and me, Kristi (xLibraAngelx) was promoted to the Leadership team.

April of 2010 Joey (Redwallfan13) and Mark (Wawfulz) were promoted to Senior Management. Joey is our Senior Head Mentor Manager and Mark is Senior Event Manager. Shortly after these promotions our Tech Support Senior Manager Squirrelly found his real life a bit too hectic for his role and we asked him to join the Veteran’s as he was very valuable to helping Joel with running of the forums.
